As I've been having horrendous bouts of writer's block, shame sounds like a perfectly valid motivator.

As for me, well... I'll dig into turkey day and black friday a la my abused journal function in a bit. I'm mostly tired, things have been non-stop lately and I pretty much cut into my sleeping or eating or travel time by taking a few minutes for myself. In a sense you and I are in a similar boat: if I don't have a second job for the beginning of next year, I have a feeling the downturn from the holidays will put me on the streets. Our hours got mutilated just before the holiday stuff kicked in.

Cut them to ribbons. I think they spent too much money being awesome and when the economy plummeted they looked at their bankbooks and they all had grand mal seizures. Simultaneously. It's the only thing I can think of to explain the brain damage behind their "recovery" plan and the prodigious amounts of money being wasted on the aforementioned powers that be. The big red B just isn't cool anymore, and it's proving it's squareness daily. *hug*
Hectic would actually be a miraculous blessing. The downtime at work is stressing me out - more evidence that the company is losing business despite all their propaganda and our hardest efforts - so hopefully the big bad wolf of retail will kick in and the holidays will run me ragged.
Oh my god, did I really just shed a positive light on a mental and physical breakdown??
My dear and wonderful Sarah, that is the best advice I've heard in a long time. And I know full well to not cut too deep into my sleep-time (that brings a slew of medical problems), but it's nice to hear someone else say it.
